Playground Playdate: Island Home Park Playground

I am so excited for our first community gathering of the fall session! The parent committee discussed field trips at our last meeting, and there was a consensus that the smaller playgrounds allow for more opportunities for parent conversation and community building. And one of my absolute favorite smaller playgrounds is at Island Home Park! It has all the best things: shade, an open field, airplane watching (warning: can be loud from the nearby Island Home Airport), and a bamboo forest! (The 'forest' is really a narrow stretch of woods next to the playground with a very short trail, and it's a perfect play space for children to safely explore the woods while not actually being able to go far enough away to get lost.) Lovely play space and lovely people.
